About Us

Our History...

Born and raised in the brush country of South Texas, Robert Rogers started hunting at 10 years old.  By the time he was 25, he had authored two publications on hunting in Texas.  These were "The Texas Hunter's Directory"  and "Big Rack".  In 1976 he started Texas Hunting Services, a guide service catering to non-resident hunters.  In 1981, he published "Great Whitetails of North America".  In 1983 he co-authored "The Legend of Muy Grande", with L.R. Garza.  In 1984, he compiled "The Professional's Guide to Whitetail".  In 1985, he released Volume II of "Great Whitetails of North America".  In 2015, his latest book was published, "Where the Big Bucks Live".  This book contains the stories of Robert's 50 years of hunting South Texas.  In 2016, Robert was inducted into The Muy Grande Hall of Fame.

The first Casa Monte Lodge was built in 1990, near George West, Texas.  In 1995, the lodge was relocated to the famous Golden Triangle, located just outside of Carrizo Springs, Texas.

Our Vision / Mission

You can hunt anywhere, so what makes Casa Monte Lodge different?  Family!  When you are here, you become a part of our family.  We hunt with you, and we celebrate with you.  From the talk over coffee on the day to come, to the toast that evening congratulating you on your successful hunt.  Our mission is to not only make sure you have a great hunt, but to make this an experience of a lifetime.   It's all about the love for God, Family, and the great outdoors.  At Casa Monte Lodge, you enter as a stranger, but you will leave as a friend!

The Legend of Casa Monte

It's a place where grown men can act like boys,

It's where little boys can learn to become men,

It's a place where traditions are repeated,

And where the fun never ends....
